Question:

Can the whole city water system be Contaminated !

Let me note a few ways:

1) With Fire protection:

All systems, installed without backflow protection.

Sprinkler systems, yard and fire protection, without adequate backflow devices.

Those fire hydrants used BY AUXILLIARY fire personel with out the proper training /motivation and experience only previously dealing with rural fires and transported water.

To utilize this urban fire hydrant system and minimize contamination of our then domestic water supply,a new fire crew is required with training and experience totally in the urban fire retardation and prevention. The cost of this secondary fire house and personel will more than offset any fire insurance savings.

If ever the water pressure drops in the water delivery system so that outside moister is drawn into the new system

Backflow devices misinstalled, inoperable or defective at each and every home served by the system

2) In maintenance of the public water distribution systems.

All previously plumbed homes And the plumbing that was inadequate will be a threat to the whole new system by the contamination the whole new system.

The public works department, it's many procedures, cleaning, settings, monitoring, adjusting, ETC.

The public works department if it ever crosses the boundary of water and sewage. I.E. not use a separate pair of gloves for sewer work and for domestic water procedures, wash hands, etc.

With a very limited PW crew real caution must be taken by people in the PW department and yet remain productive.

It might it be that 2 people working in pairs wll be required and necessary to double check all domestic water procedures

The contamination of our future will be DEADLY SERIOUS

all these and many other issues will have to be addressed, Quien Sabe
