Shady Cove City
Administrator and Chief
of Police, Subject:
(BLACK
SNAKY THING) ( City
Ordinance Violation )
The
following describes
violation of ordinance or
violation of the mayor's
city beautification
program but more likely,
both. This violation is
brought to the attention
of the city in spite of
the fact that Public
Works has been seen
making inspection and
surveillance drive-bys
several times a week even
many months before this
problem occurred and
initially became a
hazard.
More
than eight months ago, a
section of 4 inch flex
drain-pipe was seen lying
within that portion of
Train Lane where motor
vehicles travel. After
two days of the pipe
creating a hazard, an
un-named "
citizen", in
consideration of safety,
removed it from the
right-of-way to the
shoulder of the road but
to where it remains to
this day on city
property. It would seem
that adequate time has
passed that during one of
Public Works surveillance
and inspection tours, the
city employee would stop
for a few seconds and
remove what could now be
considered
abandoned
trash.
Because
Public Works has failed
to observe this abandoned
trash, we can
only assume they are in
need of detailed
description and exact
location of the
abandoned trash. We are
presenting distances and
lengths in feet and paces
because Public Works has
displayed an inability to
accurately read a
measuring devise.
Description
for Public Works:The
abandoned trash is a black
snaky thing, about
thirty feet, (ten paces),
long, (when stretched
out) and has a hole
through it all the way
from one end to the
other. We are certain
public works can find the
line between 101 and 105
Train Lane. If they will
then look the opposite
direction, they will
surprisingly find there
is here-to-for un-noticed
property, commonly known
as "the other side
of the street". Find
the power pole, (that is
the long piece of wood
sticking up in the air
from out of the ground
with the wires on top).
Here the Public Works
employee should be
careful not to pick the
pole that is between 101
and 105 Train Lane at the
fences that they have
become familiar with
because that is the wrong
one. The one we are now
talking about is the one
on the newly discovered
"other side of the
street". Having
found this power pole,
look about twenty feet
(approximately seven
paces), to the west,
(that is toward where the
sun sets and opposite of
where the sun rises, also
known as up-hill), is the
black
snaky thing partly
hiding in the grass. It
should be easy to remove
because it won' t bite
and it isn't heavy.
The
mayor may reward whoever
removes it because
although it has taken
more than eight months,
these few seconds will
continue to support his
city beautification
program.

News
Flash! At
approximately 7:00 PM
this evening, after more
than 8 months of freedom
to roam the here-to-for
un-noticed property,
commonly known as
"the other side of
the street". The
above-mentioned "
Black Snaky Thing "
has been removed from
that public property. It
can be stated that it was
not SC Public Works to
credit for this awesome
deed, but rather, thank
you SCPD and especially
Chief Gibson's handling
of Shady Coves
citizenry's welfare.
